zachary quinto 2018 Verizon Indycar Series Schedule (Fantasy)

***ALL TIMES ARE EASTERN*** I took into consideration that many people (if they had to choose) would rather watch a NASCAR race if NASCAR and Indycar raced at the same time. So I tried my best to make sure no races over lapped with each other too much (I used my fantasy NASCAR schedule as a reference for that. I will be posting that soon.) The current TV deals with ABC and NBC Sports will be in their final year in 2018, from what I've read it looks like ESPN/ABC may not be coming back and NBC Sports may or may not air ALL of the races on NBC or NBCSN, anyway, in the current TV deal it states that no broadcasting network other than ABC shall air races on their local channel. So even if NBC wanted to, they couldn't air an Indycar race on NBC without breaking the TV deal. Obviously, I prefer ovals over road and street courses. I'm not saying I dislike road and street courses, but some (for example Detroit) were pretty boring imo. And their were ovals that Indycar doesn't run anymore that I think would be GREAT if they were added back onto the schedule (especially Fontana, Michigan and Chicagoland). Well thanks for reading, if I think of anything else to add then I will do so in the comment section, but in the meantime down below are all the changes that I have made from the actual schedule to mine.

-The Mexico City race is an exhibition race.
-Long Beach is moved up one week
-Barber is taken off the schedule and is replaced by Kansas, held on a Saturday night, in conjunction with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (Friday night)
-The month of May is unchanged
-Belle Isle is taken off the schedule, race replaced by Michigan but the Belle Isle date is replaced by Texas
-Michigan is added back
-Iowa is moved up to race the same weekend as the NASCAR Xfinity Series
-Road America is set back two weeks
-Phoenix is moved to Road America's original date
-Kentucky is added back to the schedule, replacing Toronto, and is in conjunction with the Truck Series
-Gateway is pushed back three weeks (conjunction with Xfinity Series)
-Portland pushed back one week
-Fontana takes Portland's original date, running it Sunday night on Labor Day Weekend
-Chicagoland is added back to the schedule a week after Portland
-Sonoma is pushed back three weeks into early October
